Longtail is a
recruitable ally in the Original Game, an enemy in the Original Game, and a character in both games.
Original Game[]
Battle Strategies[]
Using Paw Swipe should defeat this enemy if you are at a low level. He is one of the easiest enemies in the game.
Note: though this is a recommended strategy it is not the only strategy that will work, nor necessarily the best |
Drops[]
Longtail typically drops mice, along with 101 Experience.
Recruiting[]
After Bluestar loses her second-to-last life, you can recruit Longtail at the recruiting bush in ThunderClan Camp .

Strategy as a Party Member[]
As a party member, Longtail makes a great supporting character and does a nice job of dealing extra damage whenever the player needs it against an enemy; however, his lack of healing moves lessens his usefulness, since he cannot use Maximal Heal, Remedy, Greater Remedy, Revival, or Mega Revival.
Later on in the game, it is recommended that the player uses a leader-level character (such as Leopardstar, Blackstar, or Tallstar) as a replacement for Longtail, as leaders are much more powerful and diverse in their abilities.
New Prophecy Game[]
Longtail is blinded by a rabbit in Firestar's Quest. He resides in the elders' den. When you talk to him, he usually tells you about his blindness, but sometimes he tells you a story about a hacker. The hacker story is rare so much sure not to miss half of it!
