Sunningrocks is five maps west of the Ravine, reached by traveling through the lower western tunnel in the Ravine and going through the Training Hollow and the Owl Tree. It is also reached by going into the northwestern tunnel in the Ravine and traveling south to the next map, then west to Sunningrocks.
The only way to reach RiverClan is by the stepping stones, which lead to RiverClan territory, making Sunningrocks the border between the two rival Clans RiverClan and ThunderClan. Because it is on the border of both RiverClan and ThunderClan territory, there is a lot of dispute between which territory Sunningrocks belongs to, which leads to a lot of fighting throughout the story.
One of these battles over Sunningrocks claims the lives of both Clan's deputies (second in charge). This battle is central to the plot of the Original Game.
Sunningrocks is considered a "safe" area in the games, meaning that there are no randomly encountered enemies, and you can rest here by lying down in the sun.
Unlike other hunting locations in the Original Game, there is no object that you must go to to hunt, only a patch of ground, which is shown in the picture to the right. Mice are the most common prey at Sunningrocks, though fish are sometimes caught.
Sunningrocks is one of the few hunting locations in which hunting is not the only useful thing you can do there. You have the option of lying down and basking in the sun, which restores all HP and SP, like resting or being healed by a medicine cat.
Though only mentioned but not seen, Sunningrocks was where the battle between ThunderClan and RiverClan was fought before you join ThunderClan in the beginning of the Original Series Game. They were fighting about whose territory Sunningrocks should belong to, as it is on the border of both Clans.
The next major events at Sunningrocks are when Graystripe meets Silverstream in secret, and when Silverstream dies after giving birth to Graystripe's kits, Featherkit and Stormkit.
